The film gained notoriety in 2017 when Tsafoulias voluntarily withdrew it from Greek cinemas. This decision followed a real-life murder of a taxi driver and an attempted murder in Athens; during a Q&A session weeks prior, a man (later suspected of the crimes) had asked the director a specific question about the film's plot.
