The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) is a stop-motion animated masterpiece directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton , who also conceived the original story and poem. The film follows , the beloved Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, as he stumbles upon the magical portal to Christmas Town . Bored with his usual routine, Jack decides to hijack the holiday by kidnapping Santa Claus (or "Sandy Claws") and delivering his own spooky versions of Christmas gifts, leading to comical and chaotic consequences.
