Pierrot Le Fou(1965) -

The story follows Ferdinand Griffon (Belmondo), an unhappily married man who has recently lost his job in television. After a boring party filled with guests who speak in advertising slogans, he returns home to find the babysitter is his former flame, Marianne Renoir (Karina). The next morning, Ferdinand discovers a dead body in her apartment and discovers she is being hunted by OAS hitmen from Algeria.

The two embark on a crime spree across the French countryside toward the Mediterranean Sea. Along their "Bonnie and Clyde"-style journey, they steal cars, con tourists, and live in a beach shack, where Ferdinand spends his time reading and writing philosophy while Marianne seeks more excitement.
