The Liberty County fire is one of more than currently active across Georgia and Florida. In response to the escalating crisis, authorities have implemented the following measures:
Apalachicola National Forest, Liberty County (southwest of Tallahassee).
Mandatory outdoor burn bans are in effect for much of Georgia and parts of Northern Florida to prevent new ignitions.
