The episode follows , a serious and highly skilled Lycoris agent. During an arms deal bust that goes wrong, Takina ignores her commander's orders to wait for backup and instead picks up a heavy machine gun, opening fire to save a teammate held hostage. While she neutralizes the threat, her reckless "initiative" leads to her dismissal from the main Direct Attack (DA) headquarters.

Takina is transferred to , a branch office disguised as a normal café. There, she meets her new partner, Chisato Nishikigi , who is widely considered the greatest Lycoris agent in history but has a surprisingly bubbly and pacifist personality.
