While Haru risks his life to save the people in the van, Daisuke remains cold and detached, simply paying off all damages incurred during the chase. The episode ends with the stark realization that these two must now work together at the Modern Crime Prevention Task Force.

To stop the van, Daisuke uses his wealth and technology (via his AI assistant, HEUSC) to manipulate traffic and damage public property, eventually forcing the van off a bridge.
