Previous research has explored the intersection of technology, identity, and performance. The concept of "performative identity" (Butler, 1990) is particularly relevant, as ladyboys on free cam platforms use their bodies and performances to negotiate and express their identities. Studies have also examined the impact of online platforms on marginalized communities, highlighting the potential for both empowerment and exploitation (Berry et al., 2017).
The findings suggest that free ladyboy cams provide a space for ladyboys to express themselves and connect with others, but also raise concerns about representation and objectification.
