I froze. In the game, a shadow began to stretch from behind my character, growing longer and more detailed than the surrounding environment. I reached for the power button on my PC, but my hand stopped. On the monitor, the "civilian" sprite had changed. It was now a digitized photograph of the back of my own head, sitting in my dark room, taken from the perspective of my webcam.
