Badminton is a fast-paced racket sport played either as singles (one-on-one) or doubles (two-on-two) on a rectangular court divided by a net. Unlike many other racket sports, players use a (or "birdie") rather than a ball, which must be hit over the net and land within the opponent's boundary to score a point.
