It all started on "Nuclear Plant Employee, Spouses, and No More Than Three Children Night" at the Springfield Stadium. The were in the middle of a soul-crushing 26-game losing streak. Homer’s plans to make a "complete ass of himself" were nearly derailed when Mr. Burns chose the seat right next to him. But after a few 72-ounce tubs of beer—graciously provided by a surprisingly companionable Burns—Homer found himself possessed by the spirit of the game.
In the dimly lit corner of Moe’s Tavern, Homer Simpson sat nursing a Duff Beer, surrounded by his usual drinking buddies. The air was thick with the smell of stale peanuts and regret as he began to weave the tale of his brief, shimmying brush with greatness. 5. Dancin' Homer
